Student of the Month: Rebecca Ley
Another month and another of our brilliant students has written a brilliant book. She’s been a YOTL student for several years now. “I love it. Naomi's commitment and empathy permeate everything, but all the teachers are of such a high standard. Working from home, with three young children, it can be hard to find sufficient headspace to write. Yoga helps. It makes me so much calmer and more grounded in my body. It's a corrective to all the manic juggling. YOTL adapted really well during lockdown - you hit the ground running in terms of an online offering. These classes have been absolutely essential in terms of maintaining sanity over the last six months!”
And thank goodness she found the headspace the write because the result is FOR WHEN I'M GONE, a wonderful debut about what it means to leave life unfinished, as well as the compromises of a marriage and motherhood. As Rebecca Thornton says: ‘It's heart-breaking. Beautifully written. Reminded me of Maggie O'Farrell’. https://www.waterstones.com/book/for-when-im-gone/rebecca-ley/9781409195375
