In this workshop for autumn, Rakhee will guide you through an extended practice which weaves together yoga and qigong, breath and mindful movement so that you can release what you no longer need and feel inspired. This two-hour workshop is perfect for anyone who is interested in exploring how intention can support well-being and mindful movement and the focus is on creating a sense of wellbeing and relaxation.
In Chinese medicine autumn is related to the metal phase and is associated with both inspiration and release. Our breath will animate and inspire us whilst we explore what the intention to slow down and release means at the end of a year like no other. The workshop will begin with a brief introduction to Qigong and throughout the workshop you will explore how yoga asana and qigong forms complement each other. The workshop will end with extended relaxation incorporating Qigong breathing practices, meditation and visualisations. You will also receive further information on the season of autumn and the metal phase including journaling prompts to take away and to provide further inspiration for your own practice.
