We live in a multi-cultural diverse society but race is still a very sensitive topic to talk about. Parenting comes with plenty of awkward conversations, from discussing sex to bodily functions, but race and racism can be one of the more sensitive areas to navigate. Regardless of your own ethnic background, your children will no doubt ask questions – but how do you answer them? In this talk, behavioural scientist, mother of three children, author of 'SWAY: Unravelling Unconscious Bias', Pragya Agarwal will discuss why it is important to talk with our children actively about race from a young age, and tips and strategies on how we can do so.
Price: £10. All monies left after we pay Dr Agarwal’s fee will go to charity.
