In Japan, to observe Oosouji means to clear the clutter, the dirt and the dust of the past. It is often practised at the end of one year, the purpose being to banish any old problems or ways of thinking and to welcome the new start with a clean slate.
Join this workshop led by Eryck Brahmania which will be focused on removing the stress – mental or emotional – which we often hold in the body, and to welcome in the New Year feeling restored and renewed. Part one will involve a fun and creative physical practice using props and which is appropriate for all levels. The second part of the workshop will be a led zero resistance practice (Adhyatmika krama) which boosts metabolism and cell reparation, maintenance and rejuvenation in an EFFORTLESS way. This practice is designed for everyone of all abilities. We’ll finish with a lying down recorded meditation (Virat Dharana) led by Dr Kumar, a revered teacher trainer from India who trained under 86 gurus and keeps the most traditional practices of yoga alive with his teaching. I hope to see you on the mat!
