Introduction to Hypopressives: a Mini-retreat for Mothers with Simone Muller and Chloe George

The changes that occur during pregnancy and then postpartum are the most radical a physical body experiences. Pelvic floor dysfunction and abdominal issues postpartum are surprisingly common but often not spoken about.

New mums are often told to “just do your pelvic floor exercises”, without a clear explanation of why. But there is an alternative to bring strength and function back to your postpartum body in a safe and effective way!

In this workshop you'll learn about the Low Pressure Fitness technique and why it's beneficial in regaining pelvic floor and core strength postpartum, and deepen your understanding of your true core and how it functions. If you've not done hypopressives before, this will be a brilliant chance to explore the technique and ask any questions to learn about this incredible approach. If you’ve been to a previous workshop, you are welcome to join again to go deeper in the work.

After our hypopressives class we'll have a tea break with some delicious snacks, then settle into a nourishing rest practice. Restorative yoga uses blocks and bolsters to support the body, allowing it to quieten and soften into deep rest. A must for mothers carrying a large mental (and often physical!) load.

This workshop is for anyone who has had a baby and wants to safely regain internal strength so that they can move and feel good in their bodies from the inside out, and get some vital rest that's most importantly, uninterrupted!
