6-Week Mum and Baby Postnatal Yoga Course

About the course

A welcoming and therapeutic Mum and baby yoga course to support postnatal healing and recovery in a small group setting.

Each week will build on the next and offer a gentle return to movement post birth and space to share in the experience of new motherhood.  

Limited to 8, the same group will meet each week making it a great opportunity to get to know a group of other local mothers over the course of 6-weeks.

Themes + focuses

The following themes and focuses will be woven throughout the duration of the course:

Breath

Spinal realignment

Stabilising the pelvis

'Closing' the body / coming back to the midline

Re-toning the core, pelvic floor and lower back

Releasing tension from feeding / carrying

Strengthening the upper body

Relaxation

Each week a follow up email will be sent with a suggested practice to weave into your week in a doable way.

What about the babies?

Although the rehabilitative content of the course is mother-focused, the babies are included throughout the sessions with lots of adaptations to keep them engaged and happy. You’ll have the opportunity to practice some useful baby lifting and holding techniques and gather ideas for how you can incorporate some supportive practices at home whilst you connect with your baby.

You’ll be able to tend to your baby in the way you usually would and there is no expectation for them to be awake for the whole session.

Who is it for?

The course has been created for those returning to movement / yoga post-birth and is suitable from 6-8 weeks postpartum depending on recovery. No previous yoga experience is necessary. Do get in touch if you have any questions about suitability clare@clareproudfoot.com

 The class will be 60mins with 15mins of social circle time afterwards. Price: £108
